Lulu Loves the farm...
I felt Lulu and I have been in a bit of a rut on our days together recently; toddler swimming, toddler groups, Library ryhme time... the same activities each week. She loves them but I started (and I think this has coincided with the Spring weather!) to feel a bit bored and I remembered that we won't have many days left to do as we please as before I know it she will be at school with the others.
With that, I've decided that when the weather is good I will make more of an effort to get out and about with her...
...So I've started looking for places we can visit that are fairly local (we are still limited by school hours) and aren't expensive.
Yesterday was gorgeous and sunny so I decided to walk her to the local nature centre. It has lots of animals for the children, some lovely walks, a small playground and tea rooms. Lulu got to run around, feed the chickens and stroke the ponies. It was such a lovely thing to do, we've been there many times but always at the older children's pace so it was great to be able to go at toddler speed for the afternoon...
We looked in at the animals...
They looked out at us.
Some were not bothered by us at all...
others rushed to say hello...
some did not like their baths being interrupted!
others loved showing us their newly brushed hair - check out those fringes!
but mostly they all wanted to eat...
...yes they all wanted to eat!
Bye for now. Em xx
